Toilets

At the last race, I had to deal with a complaint from one of the residents who lives in the houses backing on to the field. She was understandably very upset at having to watch our competitors using the bushes at the bottom of her garden as a toilet.

Please do not do this. We pay for the toilets at the pub to be open for your use. If you must use the outdoors, please use the far end of the field.

Anyone caught using the area remotely near the houses will be disqualified, not to mention potentially being charged and prosecuted for indecent exposure.

2019 Season

Hi all, just getting prepared for the 2019 season. The race dates for this year are posted here. The PB times have now been re-calculated, if you’re unsure how this is done, it’s explained in the rules.

For this year, the entry fee will be £2.00 per race. The increase of 50p per competitor will be donated to Woodhead MRT, partly because a number of their members give time to help with the Trunce and also because they are a nice bunch of folks who deserve it.

Trunce T-Shirts

There are a number of people who are eligible for Trunce T-Shirts, basically anyone who has done at least 5 races this season can have one. The list is here. You can either pick it up next season, or contact Andy Plummer through the Trunce FB page to make other arrangements.

Race 9 Results

We’re having a bit of a technical issue with the website hosting at present which is preventing the upload of Race 9 results. Please bear with us – it will be resolved as soon as possible.

Accessing the Race Start

We have been contacted by the farmer who owns the fields where the race starts and finishes politely requesting that we avoid trampling the grass either side of the track. Please make every effort to comply with this request, as it is in everyone’s interest that we have a good relationship with the landowners.

Additionally, please don’t use the gate half way down the field to access the start – please walk round via the car park.

2016 Season Rule Changes

As many of you are aware, there has been some debate over the past few years about the system we use to allocate points for exceeding PB times. After reflecting on what we could do to improve the system, we have come up with some changes to the way we allocate PB points. Basically, PB points will be allocated on a sliding scale depending on how much you beat the PB time.

Additionally, we have clarified the rules on Juniors becoming 16  during the season. From now on, if you turn 16 during the season, you should continue to compete in the junior races up to the end of the season. All age categories are determined from the competitor’s age on the day of the first race.

There are also some other clarifications and minor rule changes. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the rules here.
